Emergency Response

On December 25, 2020 at 6:45AM, Chris Holt awoke to his cell phone ringing off the hook.  At the time, He was unaware that one of the most tragic events to reshape Nashville had just occurred. The person on the other end of the line was one of our clients. The client spoke frantically and told Chris to turn on the Channel 5 News.  His building was less than 150 feet from the epicenter of the explosion and sustained severe damage.  As the events began to unfold on Christmas Day, our families unwrapped presents and enjoyed the traditional Christmas dinner in between conference calls with multiple owner groups, insurance providers and engineers.  As the FBI immediately took over the scene on December 30th, we were finally allowed to enter two of the most damaged buildings to begin securing them, install temporary shoring, assessing damages and temporary stabilization.  We worked with our clients to begin the rebuilding process by engaging architectural and engineering design teams to rebuild their businesses to a pre-blast condition.
